Tennessee Members 1st FCU partners with GreenPath Financial Wellness to provide members access to free money management and financial education services. Since 1961, GreenPath counselors have been helping people achieve their financial goals, through comprehensive financial counseling and exceptional service.
GreenPath Financial Wellness can:
- Explore options for easing financial stress and achieving financial goals.
- Discuss your credit and provide tips for improving your credit score.
- Look at student loan repayment options, including the pros and cons.
- Discuss debt repayment options.
- Assist with housing issues, including purchasing a home, avoiding foreclosure, or reverse mortgages.
- Provide you and your family with financial education, through online resources and tools.
GreenPath can give personalized answers to your individual needs. For issues, ranging from a proactive savings plan to saving a home from foreclosure, advice is only a phone call away, simply call 1-877-337-3399. Hours are: Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours are listed in Eastern Time. You can also visit them at www.greenpath.com.

Counseling
During an appointment, a GreenPath counselor will thoroughly review the current financial situation and develop a comprehensive budget and action plan. The counselors will also teach money management skills, including ideas to increase income and ways to reduce expenses. Click here to learn more.
For members who are having difficulty paying bills or staying current on credit card payments may sign up for this service. A GreenPath counselor will help to prioritize payments, negotiate payment amounts, and set up payment schedules with creditors. There is a fee for a Debt Management Plan (DMP) and the counselor will thoroughly explain all options and applicable fees. Click here to learn more.
GreenPath is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide housing counseling services. GreenPath counselors educate first time home buyers, provide reverse mortgage and home equity loan counseling, and counsel consumers on foreclosure prevention. Click here to learn more.
